No I haven't lost my Christmas spirit.
But the security guards at the UKC campus have, deciding to lock the building up where CSR is based, for the next two Sundays.
Pre-recording would be an option but I've no idea when the studios are free to do so due to the busyness of it all, and the struggle it takes me to travel from my house far away from the hill where it all happens.
So with that in mind the show that went out last Sunday was the final one of 2009 and I'll hopefully be back on either the 3rd of the 10th of January where I will be jumping on the bandwagon of listing my 20 favourite tunes
of the decade.
However in the Blam Jam manner of things, it will contain different set
of offerings as I'm sure we all want to get away from the crazy hysteria
of what many would describe as not the most defining decade.
But in terms of colourful music, there's been a lot of good stuff, oh yes.
I obviously haven't mentioned what I'll be including as that would give it away
but hopefully the previous two playlists may gave you an idea, without directly lifting any tracks from them.
Hopefully by 2010 I'll be able to talk better than I'm writing now.
Have a really fun Christmas and hopeful New Year.

A Warm Welcome
Well, this is what you could call a work in progress.
I've decided to set up my own little home for my new show commencing on CSR FM 97.4 this coming Sunday and also online at csrfm.com.
It's basically just a little calling point for me to provide you with show previews tracklistings etc so it's nothing new.
I'd best introduce myself to those who haven't heard of me before, I'm Robin, the title of the show comes from my surname "Blamires" (pronounced Blay-myers) but everyone else pronounces it phonetically so "Blam Jam" seemed like the ideal title.
I used to present a show on the award winning Smoke Radio for four years, where I played a selection of soul and rare groove tunes but I hope that this new offering for the silver award winning CSR will give me a chance to broaden my horizons.
I'll still be playing stuff such as Earth Wind and Fire, Jamiroquai, The Sunburst Band, but I hope to blend them in with quirkier offbeat stuff such as Calvin Harris, Florence and The Machine, Skint and Demoralised etc as well as
melodic hip hop (Roots Manuva, Ed Solo) and even a bit of easy listening and lounge.
It's a bloody mish mash in all honesty.
I hope to get a page on the official CSR website pretty soon, and possibly a Facebook group and all sorts of stuff.
In the meantime I'll use this blog to give you an idea of what sort of things I have on offer.
The first show will include tunes such as
For December '09 it's Noel McKoy and his new solo offering "Brighter Day".
There's also the Kickback Track where I play an extended tune from back in the day without talking over it.
And the Wordless Wonder which is an instrumental gem of mine and possibly your choosing as the show starts to find it's feet.
I'll also be chatting about the James Taylor Quartet gig that's taking place at the Farmhouse in Canterbury this Saturday.
Any suggestions for tracks to play on future shows can be made via the comments section of the blog and via the CSR e-mail when I get that up and running.
I'd love to hear your suggestions.
Overall I hope you enjoy what I have to offer and hopefully the show will fulfill it's aim of bringing the musical colour to Canterbury.

The first show will include tunes such as
- A gem from the genius that is Leroy Burgess and the Universal Robot Band,
- A new stunner from the Reel People
- Amazing loungey stuff from Count Indigo
- We head back to the late 80s with a "timeless" offering from Shakatak
- Earth Wind and Fire join forces with Family Guy's Cleveland Brown
- and we get a bit raucous with the three stringed genius that is Seasick Steve
